Runway Earrings

I have had these amazing Moonstones for over 10 years. They are from the 1940’s and most certainly been originally destined for some Hollywood Jewel. I am thrilled to finally offer them.

The Moonstone means that the colour sits deeply within the Crystal, it is elegant, but not Glitzy. I have popped a wonderful vintage Golden Shadow Vintage Crystal as a Drop.

Moonstone looks a lot like Moonshine, and Ancient Romans believed that it was formed by Moonlight.  The Ancient Greeks called it “Aphroselene”, which was a merging of the names of the Goddess of Love: Aphrodite and the Goddess of the Moon: Selene.

Moon stone is believed to be an Aphrodisiac, and when worn when the Moon is high can cause someone special to fall in love with you. It is also known as the Travellers Stone and is said to protect those that travel at night, especially by Sea.

All Ghost and Lola pieces are handmade in our Australian studio from rare vintage and found elements in very limited quantities. Once gone, cannot be repeated.
