Porphyry Marble was first discovered in 14AD and is sourced from one place in the whole world. Always used entirely for Royalty and referred to as Imperial Porphyry. The Large Circle in the floor of the Panthenon is made from Porphyry and all Emperors were Crowned Standing on this stone for 300 years.

The Area where Porphyry was Quarried is now a world Heritage Site and is no longer allowed to be mined.
